SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer

Today I am reviewing my favourite concealer. For me, it's one of the best and yes, I have tried high-end concealers before. It is £4.99 an absolute bargain if you ask me!

I have this in the shade fair and it is one of the few concealers that actually matches my skin-tone. Usually, they are too dark for me. The concealer does boast that it has staying power, which in my experience it does. However, I don't know if it lasts the full 18 hours like it is supposed too. It's also supposed to give full coverage, in my opinion, it doesn't. I tend to use two layers on my under eye area if I am going somewhere nice, I find then I have full coverage, just using one layer I don't think gives full coverage. However, just day to day, I just use one layer.

It looks so much darker on camera!

The consistency is quite runny. The best way I find to apply this is to pat it gently into my under eye area with my ring fingers. I get much better coverage this way. When applying this to spots I apply the wand onto the back of my hand, then pat it over redness and blemishes again with my fingers, it's more hygienic to apply it this way. If you apply the wand directly to spots then back into the container you are transferring germs which will ultimately end up back on your face again.

I have had this concealer for ages now and it's still going strong. I haven't had to replace it yet. Seriously, it's like a bottomless pit! So, if you like this concealer then you certainly get value for money.

Something I do find is that it can accentuate the creases under my eyes, even before I pat setting powder over the top. I have tried everything but it still happens, perhaps that's just my eyes. To be fair I have that with every concealer I try! Like most concealers and foundations it can make very dry skin look worse. But I think that's across the board really. I use a scrub on my face to remove dry patches then moisturise, that mostly keeps these dry patches at bay.

All in all, I really love this concealer and will be repurchasing once it (finally) runs out.

Nivea Day Cream Review!

Today I am reviewing the Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day cream.

Just a quick side note: I am a HUGE Nivea fan, I use their sun cream, lip balm (I go through one a month) creams and toning water, so expect a lot of Nivea reviews in the future!

It was my Nan who bought me this cream a couple of weeks ago as part of a gift. So for the last week and a half, I've been putting it to the test for this review.

I've been using this cream on my face, neck and arms, the smell is just gorgeous! How does Nivea always manage to make their products smell divine? This smells so clean and fresh and I look forward to that every time I apply it. (It really doesn't take much to make me happy does it?)

The cream itself is rich and very moisturising, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling really greasy, which puts me off a lot of face creams, as this can cause me breakouts. It just settles into the skin nicely and after about 10 mins there is barely any residue. A little of this cream goes a long way, you don't need to use loads.
It has SPF 15 in it which is always a reassuring plus! On the front, it says it has natural almond oil and Hydra IQ in it. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised and smelling nice all day. It works fine underneath foundation too and didn't make it streaky or weird.

My only wish is that the tube was bigger. However, the size of the tube means it's a great handbag size, so you could take it out with you to top up during the day. I might do that myself this winter, as I get very dry and sensitive skin when it's cold and windy.

I wasn't sure how much it was, as I didn't buy this for myself but I believe you can get it for between £2/3 which is a complete bargain. I've included a link HERE so you can buy your own if you wish too. I believe there is a night cream as well, so I'll have to try that out too!

So yes Nivea, you've done it again, you have created something else I love and will be adding to my everyday list of products.

What's your fave Nivea product? Tell me below. Mine's the lip balm closely followed by this cream!

Makeup Revolution Lipstick review!

Hi everyone,
Today I am reviewing the 'Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipsticks' I first discovered Makeup Revolution on holiday. I saw one of their eyeshadow palettes, I thought it would cost quite a lot, it looked expensive, but no to my surprise it was about 5Euros (Don't quote me on that, it was a year ago and I've long since thrown my receipt away!) I was so impressed with my new purchase that When I got home I looked at their website and to my utter delight I found they had more incredibly priced makeup.
Can we firstly take a moment to appreciate that these lipsticks cost £1.00 each, yes that's just ONE POUND! Normally I find that when makeup costs so little the packaging and the quality seriously suffer, but I don't feel this is the case with Makeup Revolution. I really like the packaging and the lipstick is on par with a couple of higher end brand lipsticks I have. I really appreciate the fact that they have a band around the top of the tube in the colour of the lipsticks shade, it saves me scrabbling around my makeup box, endlessly squinting at the bottom of each lipstick to try and read a minuscule shade name from a peeling label. I like that I can clearly see which shade it is, grab it and use it. Anything that saves time is a winner to me!
I put these babies to the test for you -Please bear in mind these are just my opinions, we are all different: I didn't find them drying, in fact, I found them quite soft and creamy to apply. The lipsticks did wear off after I had eaten and drank, but so do most of my other lipsticks to be fair. I didn't find the smell of them horrible or overpowering. They were fairly long lasting.
The lipsticks are buildable, The below swatch photo shows only two swipes of the lipsticks. However, you can get a really bright, deep colour from them if you keep layering. Applied over lip balm obviously makes the colours more muted, which is perfect for daytime wear with the more dramatic shades.

I think Makeup Revolution have a great selection of shades in this collection, there is a colour to suit everyone and every occasion. I also think that if you wanted to try a certain colour for the first time, such as red, this would be a great way of doing so, as if you decided the colour red wasn't for you, then you wouldn't necessarily begrudge paying just £1.00. On the same note if you are on a tight budget you can still wear on trend shades without breaking the bank!
My opinion on the shades I have:

The shade Nude doesn't suit me at all. I tend to wear a more browny nude, this is more orangey. However, if I mix it with Rimmels Lipstick in 'Asia' I can wear it.

Enchant is such a pretty colour. One swipe looks great when I pair it with dramatic Smokey eyes, it compliments the look perfectly without it being too overpowering. I also like to wear this lipstick with a bronze eye or just mascara. It's lovely for spring and summer.
My favourite out of the four shades that I have is Scandalous Depraved. I wear it over lip balm in the day for a hint of purple and if I go out (which is RARE due to my anxiety) I build up the colour for a show-stopping violet colour.
The red shade Lady is quite a pinky red on me which again is buildable. It's the perfect shade for me as I don't suit darker reds (even though I still buy them!)

For £1.00 each I would give them a 10/10
